Facebook is testing a change in mobile
apps where videos automatically start with the sound turned on. Till now in
Facebook videos are playing with sound as long the user turn on the volume. Now Facebook will auto play in the News-feed but user is require to tap the video
and to switch on and off the sound.
Facebook spoke person
confirmed “We’re running a small test in News-feed where people can choose whether they
want to watch videos with sound on from the start”.
Facebook continued by
saying “With this update, sound fades in
and out as you scroll through videos in News Feed, bringing those videos to
life”.
And some of the changes
Facebook announced Yesterday.
- In android or iOS you can watch vertical videos now in expand to full screen. New progress bar is adding up in Facebook when you are in full screen.
- A new Facebook video app will be available in all app stores. According to Facebook “ You can watch videos shared by friends or pages you follow, top live videos from around the world, and recommended videos based on your interests”. Even “You can also catch up on videos you‘ve saved to watch later as well as revisit videos you’ve watched, shared or uploaded”.
